About
I am an art historian with a specialization in pre-Columbian and colonial art of Latin America. My work centers on issues of cross-cultural exchange and the intersections of visual culture and indigenous identity. I am currently working on a book project tentatively titled "Mural Painting and Social Change in the Colonial Andes."
My research interests include art and colonialism, visual culture studies, material culture studies, race and ethnicity, indigenous resistance movements, and visual anthropology.
