About

I am currently a Ph.D. student in English Language and Literature at Cornell University. My work focuses on American literature from the colonial period to the nineteenth century, spirituality, occultism , and queer theory.  I received my B.A. from the University of Colorado at Boulder and my M.A. from The Pennsylvania State University-University Park.  More specifically, my research and teaching interests include the relationship between queer theory and esoterica , formations of attachment in early and nineteenth-century America, and notions of gender and affect within these periods.
